What is Melaleuca?

A wellness company that provides products for the body and the home by combining the best of nature and the best of science to give you products that are safer for you, your home and your environment. 

Why did I start marketing for the company?

My 5 year old daughter, Samantha, has Cerebral Palsy.  With that, comes doctor’s appointments, surgeries, tests, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and so much more.  All last year, I was looking for a work from home type of job, in addition to my full time job, to bring in extra money for medical bills.  

In 2011, Samantha was scheduled to have major surgery on her legs in May of 2012 which would put me at home for 4 months, caring for her.  Obviously, most cannot be off work for 4 months without pay.

In 2010, I met Angie, my director, and we emailed back and forth for about a year about Melaleuca.   In January of 2012, I finally pulled the trigger to market for Melaleuca.   I was tired of using ‘green’ household products and being repulsed by the smell.  Isn’t green supposed to smell fresh and to be good for the environment?  After using Melaleuca products, it was a no brainer to market for them.  When I spoke to my husband about this new adventure, he said ‘if it smells good and doesn’t cost more, let’s do it.’    My goal with Marketing for Melaleuca is to make it a full time job within the next 3 to 4 years.   This next set of 3 years will be spent catching up on those medical bills and providing Sam with the extras she needs to catch up to her peers.   At the 4th year, market Melaleuca full time.  Sam will always have doctor’s appointments and need to be cared for, longer than a ‘typical’ child.   Danielle, my 1 year old now, will only be 3.   I can be a stay at home mom, take care of my family, and still bring money into the household.

Rodan + Fields Dermatologists was created by Drs. Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields, the creators of Proactiv.  What they did for acne they are now doing for the anti-age market.  These renowned Standford trained doctors have a new line targeting the four main skin concerns they see in their San Francisco Bay Area practices: aging skin, sensitive skin, dark marks/pigmentation, and acne.  These products are new to the Indianapolis market and I would love the opportunity to spread the word!
